These four emcees let their souls bleed through the pen on this record that closed the show on the recent Gangsta Grillz mixtape, On the House, which dropped two weeks ago. The mixtape is a prequel to their new album Welcome to Our House, which came out this past Tuesday.
This is a solid record buried in emotional heartache, which fits exceptionally well with the No I.D. produced “Tears of Joy” beat (one of the more emotional beats released in recent years).
Joell Ortiz ran the anchor leg and really shined on this track, however Joe Budden and Crooked I had my two favorite lines on the song. Budden when he speaks on God’s response to his constant drug use and Crooked I when he rhymes about his closest confidant.
