You can’t ban The Snowman from serving the streets.
Years ago, that phrase would’ve had a very different meaning. These days, Jeezy is all about serving the people of Atlanta— the young people, more specifically. The Grammy Award winner recently collaborated with Shanti Daz’s Backpack Blessings Back To School Drive and a local Wal-Mart to donate 1,000 book bags to elementary school students in the area.
Always one to come though for the people in a timely fashion, this is hardly the first time Jizzle has given back. According to hotnewhiphop.com, Jeezy has also relaunched his Street Dreamz Foundation, and was a recipient of the Phoenix Award from the city for his philanthropic endeavors.
Young’s fifth major release, Seen It All: The Autobiography, was one of the most acclaimed albums of 2014 (with the title track, featuring Jay Z, being arguably the song of the year). He’s held down Atlanta ever since he burst onto the scene in the Summer of 2005 with one of the most memorable takeovers in rap history. And after a decade in the game, Jeezy remains a pillar in The South— both in the streets and in the community.
