Kid Cudi Feat. Andre 3000: “By Design”
Back from rehab, the Man on the Moon finally returns with his cosmic flows and with a new friend, Andre Benjamin. “By Design” will delight all Cudi fans on this plane of existence or any other.
With 3 Stacks on hook/bridge duty, we’ll have to wait a little longer for full 16’s from Andre. However this record is pure Cudder; more classic Cudi appears to be in store on his new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin, released earlier this month.
J. Cole: “Everybody Dies”
It didn’t make the his #1 album 4 Your Eyez Only, but “Everybody Dies” is pure flames and shouldn’t fall to the wayside. Unlike the controversial “False Prophets” — where Cole seemingly takes shots (or at least offers up his commentary) at Kanye West, Wale and possibly Drake — Cole delivers a harsh dosage of reality for lackluster emcees across the board in a tight 2:45.
Needless to say, the title is appropriate.
