Drake is at it again…and his bragger-rap swag is on infinity!
Taking a page from his own “9AM in Dallas” song from a couple of years back, Drizzy dropped “5AM in Toronto”. Aubrey touches on quite a bit on this Boi-1-da track — leaving some to speculate that the sneak disses were in abundance — and brought his fair share of memorable bars to the table.
Most notably: “You underestimated greatly/Most #1s ever, how long did it really take me?/The part that I love most is they need me more than they hate me/So they never take shots, I got errbody on safety”. His boasting continued to the point that he suggested that his fingerprints are so prevalent in the game that “every song sounds like ‘Drake featuring Drake'”.
With a Best Rap Album Grammy in his back pocket, and given the success of his latest single, “Started From The Bottom“, coupled with the aggression he shows on this record, Drake seems to be out for blood in 2013. Is this a diss record, or is he simply putting the game on notice that his influence is essentially unmatched?
