Video surfaced this weekend of Rick Ross showing off his hoop game in a little 2-on-2 action in his backyard with his music engineer, a Reebok rep and his jeweler.
Let’s take a minute to breakdown the film of Rozay’s performance:
1) Ross is clearly unstoppable in the paint. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he shot 100% from the floor. He also had range out to his 15 ft 3 point line.
2) Rozay is RELENTLESS on the offensive glass! Would’ve made Barkley proud. We can officially start calling him The Round Mound of Sound.
3) I wanted to see more movement from the big fella. I was waiting for him to cut hard to the rack on a few occasions in a Big Baby-like fashion.
4) Despite the lackluster competition, a jumper akin to Shawn Marion’s, home court advantage (The man’s face was on the floor. Can a court really be anymore “home” than that?) and probably blowin that loud just before tipoff, Ross looked pretty decent on the court. His old man game is really rounding into shape.
We may need to give The Boss a top 4 seed in the HHSR Hypothetical Hip-Hop Hoops Tournament (possible article for the future???).
